Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, rose in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departures:They were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, below normal in Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 42.0°C, recorded at Tonk (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 8: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Isolated dust storm or thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 8: Partly cloudy sky with dust haze. Thundery development is likely in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 39°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of May 8: Development of thunderclouds is likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
