Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Kota (East Rajasthan) recorded 2 cm of rainfall.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose markedly in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal, fell appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 40°C recorded at Jalore (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 8: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in south Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 8: Partly cloudy sky. Maximum temperature will be around 35°C.
