Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab and UP and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 32.4°C recorded at Jalore (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in west Rajasthan and west UP and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably below normal in Punjab and east UP, below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, west UP and Uttaranchal and normal in west Rajasthan.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 05.6°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 10: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 10: Partly cloudy sky. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 27°C and 13°C, respectively.
