Rainfall: Rain or snow has been reported at most places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms are: Haryana: Rania 5, Naraingarah and Thanesar 4 each, Ambala, Chhachhrauli, Nilokheri and Sonepat 3 each, Bhiwani, Chandigarh, Fatehabad, Jagadhari, Kalka, Pataudi, Sisra and Uchana 2 each and Delhi Ridge, Hisar, Loharu, New Delhi (Ayanagar Palam and Safdarjung), Rewari and Rohtak 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Bangana, Dharamsala, Guler, Ghamroor and Nagrotasurian 8 each, Nahan, Nadaun and Shimla 5 each, Barsar, Hamirpur, Sujanpurtira and Una 4 each, Berthin, Ghumarwin, Jhandutta, Kahu, Kasol Karsog, Paonta, Rampurbushar, Sunibhajji, Sundernagar and Sangaraha 3 each and Arki, Bhuntar and Pandoh 2 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 17, Banihal 12 Jammu 11 and Srinagar 9 Punjab: Bathinda 10, Nakodar 9, Amritsar, Adampur, Halwara and Ludhiana 8 each, Batala 7, Malerkotla and Raya 6 each, Ferozepore and Talwandibhai 5 each, Balachaur and Ropar 4 each, Jagraon, Moga, Nangal, Nawanshahr and Patti 3 each, Samrala 2 and Patiala 1, New Delhi (Safdarjung) and Ludhiana (Punjab) reported hailstorm.

Forecast valid until the morning of February 21, 2003: Rain or snow will occur at most places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in Rajasthan. Isolated thundersqualls are also likely in Haryana, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours. Heavy rain is also likely at isolated places in Punjab during the same period.
