Sonia meets LS Speaker
New Delhi, November 7
Congress President and Leader of the Opposition Sonia Gandhi today met Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi for discussing ways to ensure the smooth conduct of the Lower House during the winter session of Parliament, beginning on November 18. The meeting was held at the initiative of the Speaker, who had met leaders of various political parties in this connection recently, sources said. The Speaker is understood to have impressed on Mrs Gandhi the need to ensure that the House functioned smoothly in keeping with its dignity.
