Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Pandoh 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Batote and Quazigund 1 each and east Uttar Pradesh: Varanasi A.P. 9, Jaunpur 7, Turtipar and Varanasi City 5 each, Shardanagar 4, Banda, Ghazipur and Mirzapur 3 each, Ballia 2 and Allahabad, Birdghat, Chandradeepghat, Gorakhpur, Katerniaghat and Kanpur 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 27: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region.
