Centre sends cash to lift grain New Delhi, June 4 The sanction is subject to adjustment of amount to be released in future for implementation of the SGRY, an official release said here today. In addition, 5.98 thousand tonnes of wheat, as requested by the Punjab Government, have been allocated to the state at a total value of Rs 496.52 lakh. The value of the foodgrain is calculated at an economic cost of Rs 8.30 per kg. The payment will be made by the ministry to the Food Corporation of India (FCI) directly on lifting of foodgrain and presentation of bills duly verified by the district manager, FCI, and DRDA of the district concerned, on a prescribed format. The districts covered under the ad hoc sanction are: Amritsar, Bathinda, Faridkot, Ferozepore, Fatehgarh Sahib, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, Mansa, Moga, Muktsar, Nawanshahr, Patiala, Roop Nagar and
Sangrur. The district-wise release of funds under the SGRY is as follows:
