Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Jammu xan, bxelow normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 47.3°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 8: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Duststorms/thunderstorms are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in Punjab.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 8: Mainly clear sky with chance of thundery development in some areas towards afternoon/evening. Maximum temperature will be around 42°C.
