Snow, rain in HP areas

Shimla, April 28
The higher reaches in the tribal areas had fresh snow while the higher hills in the non-tribal areas of Himachal were lashed by high velocity winds accompanied by showers, causing sharp fall in the temperature.

Kaza, headquarter of the Spiti valley has been experiencing intermittent snowfall since last evening while higher reaches in the Lahaul and Pangi valleys had moderate snowfall. The spiti valley has been cut off from the rest of the state due to blockade of the Kaza-Samdoh road caused by snowfall and landslides.

Shimla and surrounding resorts of Kufri, Naldehra, Fagu and Wildflower Hall were also lashed by high velocity winds. PTI
