4 die in Gujarat police firing 
Ahmedabad, March 19
Four persons, including two belonging to minority community, were killed when the police opened fire to disperse mobs in Bharuch and Sabarkantha districts as fresh bouts of communal violence hit parts of Gujarat, police sources here said. Two persons were killed and as many seriously injured when the police fired on mob engaged in stone-throwing in the Undai-Hajikhana locality of Bharuch district. PTI

ADJ roughed up in courtroom
Kanpur, March 19
A group of agitated lawyers today roughed up a judicial officer on the Kanpur Dehat district court premises and damaged property in his courtroom. The lawyers, reportedly protesting against the alleged assault of a lawyer by Additional District Judge (Fast Track Court) Dr Gokulendra Sharma yesterday, stormed into his courtroom and attacked him.
