Congress wins 8 seats, SAD 4
Ludhiana, February 24
Quite expectedly it was a mood of celebrations in the Congress camp here after the results started pouring in from various Assembly segments in the district. The party improved its tally from three to eight seats in the district with all four city segments going to its kitty. On the other hand, it was a mood of disappointment and despondency in the ruling SAD-BJP alliance, which lost five seats against those it had won in 1997.
