Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, rose in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh, fell in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little in Himachal Pradesh.

Departures: They were below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and in the remaining parts of Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 3.8°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 7: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in north Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 7: Partly cloudy sky with light rain/thundershowers in some areas. Mist in the morning. Rise in minimum temperature and will be around 9°C.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi. Forecast valid until the morning of February 7. Light rain will occur at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
