Ultras attack picket, kill jawan
Koderma (Jharkhand), September 29
In a daring attack, armed Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) ultras today attacked a police picket at Bariardih in Koderma district, killed one jawan of the Jharkhand military police, injured five and looted a cache of arms, police sources said. The extremists looted four SLRs, a carbine, a rifle, 800 rounds of ammunition and a wireless set from the police picket and also burnt an official vehicle parked nearby, the sources said. The heavily-armed extremists raided the police picket at 0830 hours and sprayed bullets from automatic weapons. PTI
