Southwest monsoon has further advanced into more parts of south Rajasthan and parts of southwest Uttar Pradesh.

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at most places in Himachal Pradesh, at many places in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in east Uttar Pradesh. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Kaithal 5, Ambala 4, Bhiwani, Guhla, Panipat and Thanesar 3 each, Naraingarh and Nilokheri 2 each and Chandigarh, Gohana, Jagadhari, Narwana and Pehowa 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Paonta 12, Solan 8, Dharampur 5, Baijnath and Rohru 4 each, Shimla 3, Bharwain, Manali, Nahan and Sunibhaji 2 each and Barsar, Kasol, Kangra and Kasauli 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu 9, Katra 4 and Kathua 2, Punjab: Mukerian 7, Patiala 2 and Dasuya and Dhuri 1 each, Rajasthan: Chikalwas and Jaisalmer 8 each, Jodhpur 5, Ajmer, Phalodi, Rajasmand, Shalipura and Sawai Madhopur 3 each, Deoli and Nandsamand 2 each and Behror, Durra, Niwai and Udaipur 1 each, Uttar Pradesh: Sarsawa 2 each and Jhansi 1 and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun 3.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperaturesn rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, fell in Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were normal in the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.5°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 16: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rain warning: Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in HP, southeast Rajasthan and Uttaranchal during next 48 hours.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of June 16: Moderate to rather heavy rain will occur at many places.
