Jaya shuffles ministry
Chennai, June 9
Within a month of being sworn-in as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Ms Jayalalitha today dropped three ministers Yyaru Vandayar, V. Jayaraman and R. Viswanthan, inducted three new ones R. Jeevanantham, C. Shanmugavelu and R. Vathialingamand changed the portfolios of some of her ministerial colleagues. Jayalalitha met Governor Fathima Beevi in this connection. PTI

4 electrocuted
Jaipur, June 9
Four persons, including three of a family, were electrocuted and seven injured today due to earthing problem in power connections in their houses at Santhal Khedi village in Kota district of Rajasthan. The police said. Of the victims three were women. UNI

Solar eclipse
Chandigarh, June 9
A total solar eclipse will occur in the afternoon of June 21. The eclipse will not be visible in India. It will be visible from the South Atlantic Ocean, Angola, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Madagascar and the Indian Ocean, a Metero logical Department spokesman said here today. PTI
