20 tigers killed
Colombo, June 4
Twenty Tamil rebels were killed and a large quantity of arms and ammunition was seized in an operation launched by the Special Task Force (STF) of the police in eastern Ampara district early today. The police said the bodies of 14 terrorists had been found from an LTTE camp which was completely destroyed during the day-long operation. Several AK-47 rifles and ammunitions were also recovered. 13 woodcutters killed
Guwahati, June 4
Suspected NDFB militants mowed down at least 13 woodcutters at Lumshong in Kokrajhar district. Assam Minister of State for Home Pradut Bordoloi said here tonight. Details are awaited. UNI
