Departures: These were appreciably below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Uttaranchal and the remaining parts of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 48.3°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan). Forecast valid until the morning of 14th May: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.
