Allahabad to be Prayag Raj
Lucknow, April 19
The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet today approved the change of the name of Allahabad to Prayag Raj. The state Cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister Rajnath Singh gave its final approval in this regard. The Chief Minister later told newsmen that the approval draft was being sent to the Centre for necessary formalities. UNI

Infant molested by father, dies
Bhopal, April 19
In a bizarre incident, a six-month-old infant died when her father attempted to rape her here. According to police sources, the child had been admitted to the local Hamidia hospital here on April 7, where she succumbed to her injuries. The accused tried to dodge the police, but was finally arrested. He later conceded of “molesting” his daughter while in an intoxicated state. UNI
