Cong Sewa Dal reorganised

The AICC President, Ms Sonia Gandhi, has approved the list of office-bearers for reorganising the Congress Sewa Dal. Nine organisers, 13 organising secretaries and three programme coordinators have been appointed.

Two die of hepatitis-B

Probe ordered into wall demolition

Mr Jaspal Singh, Deputy Commissioner, has ordered a magisterial probe into the demolition of the wall of a graveyard belonging to the Christian community located at Jogi Nagar in the trans-Railway area of this town. The wall was allegedly demolished by the railway authorities.

The Field Employees Coordination Committee of the Punjab State Foodgrains Association yesterday while expressing resentment over the advancement of the current procurement season to April 1, alleged that the Punjab Mandi Board was not providing the desired infrastructure at the mandis and this would hamper procurement.
