NEW DELHI, Jan 25 (UNI) — Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar and shehnai maestro Ustad Bismillah Khan were today conferred the Bharat Ratna, nation’s highest civilian award, for their invaluable contributions in the field of music.


6 burnt alive

PATNA, Jan 25 — Six children were burnt alive while four persons suffered burns in two separate incidents of fire in Bihar’s Nawada and Begusarai districts, police sources said. Three children were burnt alive when a fire broke out in their hut at Parpa village in Nawada district on Thursday.
