Srinagar, February 27

The Peoples Democratic Party has expressed deep anguish over the “frequent power cuts all over the Valley”. The party stated that despite the UT administration’s big claims of improved and adequate power supply in J&K, routine load shedding across the Valley has crippled normal life.

PDP general secretary Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura said, “The department, on the one hand, claims that it has reduced power thefts and increased revenue and improved infrastructure. On the other hand, increased power curtailments have not only affected the business fraternity but also students, who are preparing for exams these days,” the PDP leader said.

Lone urged the UT administration to ensure regular power supply during upcoming holy month of Ramadhan.
