Woman constable, son injured by Chinese kite string at Fatehgarh Sahib
Fatehgarh Sahib, February 17
A woman police constable, Rajbir Kaur, and her son were injured because of the Chinese kite string. The lady was given first aid at Fatehgarh Sahib Civil Hospital, after which she was referred to the PGI.
Rajbir’s husband, Amrik Singh, said his wife was returning from her duty on a scooter on Friday evening. He said as she reached near the Deputy Commissioner’s office complex, she got trapped in a Chinese kite string. Because of this, the nerves in her neck were severed, and she was admitted to the Fatehgarh Sahib Civil Hospital. He added that she was referred to the PGI after the first aid treatment at the civil hospital.
Amrik said that a few days ago, his son fell prey to the ‘China-dor’ in a similar manner, adding that he suffered grave injuries too.
9-year-old boy hurt
In another incident, a 9-year-old boy, Siddharth, was injured after being hit by a Chinese kite string.
His father, Raj Jass, said his son was coming back home from near the Fatehgarh Sahib Railway Station gate when his left leg got trapped in the Chinese-dor. Raj said that his son got five stitches in his leg at the Fatehgarh Sahib Civil Hospital.
