Ludhiana: Bhartiya Vidya Mandir (BVM), Udham Singh Nagar, celebrated the 75th Republic day with immense patriotic fervor and zeal. Several activities were organised to instil the spirit of unity, brotherhood and patriotism in the students. Veena Malhotra (PRT) acquainted everyone with the significance of Voters Day. Naintaara, a student of Class VIII, read the Preamble. The students of classes VII to IX, dressed up in colours of the Indian flag, presented a mesmerising dance performance. The students of classes I and II presented a play on freedom fighters, reminding everyone of their contribution in the struggle for Independence.
Shri Shalig Ram Jain Public School
Shri Shalig Ram Jain Public Sen Sec School, Ludhiana, organised the live telecast of ‘Namo Navmatdata Sammelan’ for students. The Prime Minister addressed young voters on National Youth Voters’ Day. On the occasion, BJP leader Arjun Vinayak exhorted the students to cast their vote with care after picking the right candidate. Deepak Sharma (excutive member, Ludhiana), Amit Sharma and Vinod Kumar, members of BJPYM, provided tips to the students on casting their vote. Joint secretary Vishal Jain took arranged a motivational session for the students.
Darshan Academy
The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with grandeur at Darshan Academy, Ludhiana. A special morning assembly, organised for Nursery to Class XII students, featured patriotic songs, poetry recitations and a detailed exploration of the Constitution’s history, along with engaging activities such as card-making, acting, national flag-creation and a mock parliament. Sweets were distributed among the students, and school principal Rajdeep Kaur Aulakh wished for the nation’s growth and development. The event concluded with the rendition of the national anthem.
Spring Dale Public School
On the occasion of Republic Day, Spring Dale Public School was adorned with Tricolour. The students of kindergarten and primary level came dressed up in tricolor. The students of kindergarten participated in a colouring activity and were shown an animated patriotic movie. The students of classes I to III recited patriotic poems exhibiting their love for the nation. Classes IV and V showcased their skills and enthusiasm by participating in tricolour craft work. Chairperson Avinash Kaur Walia congratulated the students, parents and staff members on the occasion. She urged everyone to develop a sense of patriotism, love and respect for the nation and remember our national heroes and freedom fighters who gave us a republic nation.
BCM School
To create a deeper understanding of species, ecosystems and the interconnectedness of the living world, BCM School, Chandigarh road, Ludhiana, conducted various activities on the theme ‘Biodiversity Conservation’ under British Council activities. The subject experts acquainted the young minds of classes VI, VII and VIII with the ways to protect and preserve the wealth and variety of species, habitats, ecosystems, and genetic diversity in countries like India, Japan and Nigeria. They also informed the students how to treat all animals, plants, and ecosystems with kindness and respect. The emerging artists of Class VI manifested their artistic expertise in a collage on different methods of conserving biodiversity. A young journalist of Class VII wrote a report on economic aspects of the issue understudy. They described existing biodiversity interests, protected species, and any possible impacts on them.
