PM: Sachin Tendulkar’s Kashmir visit promotes Make in India drive
Jammu, February 28
PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday reacted to cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s Kashmir visit, saying it has two aspects — Incredible India and Make in India. While sharing a video post of Sachin Tendulkar on X in which he highlighted the top moments from his week-long trip to Kashmir, the PM wrote, “This is wonderful to see! Sachin Tendulkar’s lovely J&K visit has two important takeaways for our youth: One — to discover different parts of Incredible India. Two — the importance of Make in India. Together, let’s build a Viksit and Aatmanirbhar Bharat!”

Tendulkar had mentioned in his post, “J&K will remain a beautiful experience etched in my memory. There was snow all around but we felt warm because of people’s exceptional hospitality. Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji said there is so much to see in our nation. Couldn’t agree more, especially after this trip”.
Tendulkar also stated that the Kashmir willow bats were great examples of ‘Make in India, Make for the World’.
“They (Kashmiri bats) have travelled across the globe, and now I recommend people across the globe, and India, to come and experience Jammu & Kashmir, one of the several jewels of Incredible India,” he wrote.
During his visit to the Valley, Tendulkar visited many places and met people. He also visited a cricket bat manufacturing unit recently.
