National Conference seeks suggestions for Jammu and Kashmir poll manifesto
Srinagar, July 5
The National Conference (NC) on Friday sought suggestions from the public for its manifesto for the upcoming Assembly poll in Jammu and Kashmir. “The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Manifesto Committee is seeking suggestions from the general public to help shape our future,” the party wrote on X.
The party provided an email ID and asked people to share ideas within the next week. “Every suggestion will be thoroughly reviewed. Let’s build a better tomorrow together,” it said.
NC leader Tanvir Sidiq said they were seeking suggestions from trade unions, civil society and others to provide their inputs. “All these inputs will be incorporated into the manifesto,” he told The Tribune.
The move came a day after the NC’s working group concluded a two-day meet which was held at the party headquarters in Srinagar.
“In the marathon meeting, the members engaged in in-depth discussions on a wide range of issues, with a primary focus on the upcoming Assembly elections and organisational matters. The members of the working group also discussed pressing issues of public importance,” said a party statement late on Thursday night.
