industrial growth and the youth are getting jobs, corruption has ended. The people want to see, meet and listen to the PM after he broke the shackles of Article 370. We have information that around 1.5 lakh to two lakh people will attend the rally at Bakshi Stadium,” he added.

A three-tier security blanket has been thrown around the Bakshi Stadium for the PM’s rally as the deployment of security personnel has been increased on the ground while technology is being used to maintain a hawk eye vigil.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party stated people had no hope from the PM’s visit, unlike the visits of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Manmohan Singh. “In our region, the core issues extend beyond mere infrastructural development like roads, water and electricity,” PDP spokesperson Suhail Bukhari said at a press conference. “Development is necessary but it is not a core issue,” he added.

“For the past three decades, the residents of J&K have endured significant hardships. They are bruised. They are yearning for a healing touch from the government, particularly the Central Government,” he said.
