Teachers’ Day: 13 to be awarded for exemplary research works
Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva announced research awards for KU teachers for doing exemplary work in various research categories, patents and consultancy projects for 2023 on Wednesday. As many as 13 teachers will be felicitated on Teachers’ Day.
The Vice-Chancellor congratulated all selected teachers for the research awards and said Kurukshetra University was committed to do quality work in the field of research and it to a higher level. An eco-system has been developed to register patents to promote research in the university. The KU has registered more than 60 patents in the field of research and 30 have also been published. For the first time, Dean Academic Affairs Prof Anil Vashisht and Dean of College Prof Anil Vohra have been selected for the Lifetime Achievement Award. Dean, Research and Development, Prof Dinesh Kumar said these awards were given to the teachers on the basis of their performances in the research, academic contribution, patent and consultancy projects done in the last three years.

Assistant Professor Dr Suresh Kumar of Chemistry Department has been selected for Best Researcher-Collaboration and Dr Dinesh Kumar, Dr Manisha Sandhu and Dr RBS Yadav of Geophysics Department for Best Researcher-Consultancy Projects (sciences).
