Steps are being taken to ensure an increase in participation in Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan that started in Jalandhar on Tuesday. The District Education Officer today released an order for the school heads to ensure good participation in the games.

The Tribune had highlighted that there was thin participation on Day-1 during the block-level events. “The message has already been sent in the field and I have released an order too. We will depute teachers for performing duties during the Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan,” said Gurinderjit Kaur, District Education Officer (Secondary).

One of the Sports Department coaches said he had met some village sarpanches to spread information about the games. Another coach said, “I have been calling teachers to send more players.”
