With monsoons around the corner, several parts of Mohali are witnessing waterlogging issues. The Chandigarh-Ambala national highway at Zirakpur is the worst sufferer with long queues of vehicle crawling in pools of rainwater.

Near the Kohinoor Dhabha in Zirakpur, the road to the Municipal Councill office is in total mess. Potholes, uprooted sewage lines and clogged narrow road inconveniences road users daily.

Several housing societies, government offices, gurdwara and a buzzing market have to make do with this dilapidated road which has not been repaired for years.

“This is the condition of roads leading to the Municipal Council office, you can imagine the plight of the rest of the town,” said a resident of Windcross, a housing society here.
