A Union Government team reached Moga on Tuesday to review the projects being conducted under the Jal Shakti Abhiyan “Catch the Rain” initiative. The team members inspected some of the 75 Amrit Sarovars dug in Moga district under Mission Amrit Sarovar. The mission aims at conserving water and developing and rejuvenating 75 water bodies in every district.

They inspected Amrit Sarovars constructed in Lopon, Nihal Singh Wala and Dina villages. The team asked officials to plant more saplings around these water tanks so that these could be developed as picnic spots.
