City buses to resume service after two months

As the Prassana Company– which was running the City Bus Service in Ludhiana, has not shown any interest to continue with its services again in the city, the officials of the Municipal Corporation held a meeting with the representatives of the Consulting Company- Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services, to discuss what other options could be explored to run the service at the earliest.
Approval of examination centre by PSEB

Private schools have to submit all the authentic details to the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) to get approval of the examination centre at the schools. The board will not refund the security and cancel the examination centre of those schools, which would provide wrong information about the school infrastructure.

Woman jumps to death

A woman committed suicide by jumping in front of a train today.

31-year-old electrocuted
Sahnewal, July 30
Amandeep Singh of Ward Number 6 of Sahnewal was electrocuted today.
The 31-year-old was digging the ground for the submersible pump to be installed at his place, when the incident took place. Ajit, brother of the deceased, said Amandeep was trying to place an iron rod inside the deep well. But, as he tried to raise the rod, it got stuck with the wires over head and he was electrocuted, said Ajit. — OC
