Vigilance files case 
against naib tehsildar@@Srinagar: The State Vigilance Organisation has registered a case against an official of the state revenue department, following a fact-finding report by a senior government official. The case was registered against naib tehsildar Ghulam Nabi Wani and others for “fraud” attestation of mutation of land and conferring undue benefit to some people, a statement issued by the SVO said. “The SVO having considered the fact-finding report of the Ganderbal DC referred the issue to the Director, Vigilance, for verification, following which the Vigilance Organisation registered the case," it said. — TNS@@@@Missing boy’s body 
fished out from Jhelum@@Srinagar: The body Muhammad Afreen Parray (7), who had been missing since June 19, was found from the Jhelum river near Soiteng on Wednesday. The child's family that had been searching for him for the past six days, had also kept cash reward of Rs 1 lakh for locating the boy. Parray, son of Muhammad Rafiq Parray, a resident of Lachmanpora Batamaloo, went missing after he went out to purchase sweets from his maternal home in Lasjan on the fateful day. — OC@@@@PDP seeks details of 
Omar’s foreign tours@@Srinagar: Senior PDP leader and MP Tariq Hameed Karra on Wednesday said when another innocent youth fell to the bullets of the government forces in Sopore, the “Chief Minister was reportedly holidaying in Europe”. "For Omar Abdullah, foreign jaunts with his friends are more important than the life and dignity of the people," Karra said in a statement. Karra said the government must come out with the details of the foreign tours made by Omar in the past six years and the persons who accompanied him on these overseas jaunts. — TNS
