Fog derails travel plans
Ludhiana, December 17
Poor visibility caused due to fog and elusive sunshine threw the rail traffic in the entire region out of gear, with most of the trains running late by several hours. Harassed passengers waiting at the railway station for their respective trains had to bear the brunt of the inclement weather.

Youth held with 50 gm of smack
Samrala, December 17
The Samrala police have arrested a youth with 50 gm of smack. SHO, Samrala, Surjit Singh said a police party led by ASI Sham Lal had set up a checkpost near Khatran village. On suspicious, the police signalled a Maruti car coming from the Mehdoodan side to stop, but the occupant of the car tried to flee.
