Shahbaz Sharif for strengthening Indo-Pak trade ties

Host of delicacies served to dignitaries

A host of delicacies were served today to the Pakistan delegates visiting Punjab to be a part of the Kabaddi World Cup closing ceremony. Lunch was served to them at a five star hotel after an interactive session with the industry.

Youth run over by train

A 32-year-old youth was crushed to death under a train on Ludhiana-Ferozepur railway line this morning. The deceased has been identified as Balwant Singh of Galib Kalan village near Jagraon. Balwant used to work as a mason in Jagraon.
5 held for illegal sand mining

The Sidhwan Bet police have arrested five persons for alleged illegal mining of sand from the
Satluj. The accused were arrested during separate raids conducted by the joint teams of Mining Department officials and the Sidhwan Bet police during the past 24 hours.
