Traders worried over dumped parcels

The railway authorities have, once again, failed to make adequate and timely arrangements for the movement of hosiery goods with the result that both the traders and manufacturers are worried over the accumulating stockpile of parcels at the goods booking office as well as the railway platforms here.

Bus operators refuse to oblige govt officials

Unhappy with the increase in road tax, the Mini-Bus Operators Association, Punjab, has refused to oblige government officials.

Students still await winter uniform

Over 2.5 lakh students up to class VIII have been suffering in the absence of proper winter uniforms in about 1,545 schools in the district. This is happening due to the pen-down strike by the non-teaching employees working under the SSA/RMSA. As a result, the grant for the uniforms has not been released to the school managements.
