The leaders of Jagraon unit of BJP have strongly objected to the decision of sidelining party leadership from a function organised by the ruling alliance at Jagraon. Over 2.5 lakh students up to class VIII have been suffering in the absence of proper winter uniforms in about 1,545 schools in the district. This is happening due to the pen-down strike by the non-teaching employees working under the SSA/RMSA. As a result, the grant for the uniforms has not been released to the school managements.
