Gold prices have shot up to Rs 31,080 per 10 gm ahead of wedding season. The prices have gone up after nine months.

Under the banner of All-India Bank Employees’ Association and Bank Employees Federation, the protesters decided to observe an all-India strike on September 25 against the ‘anti-people’ banking sector reforms, contemplation for merger of public sector banks, unwarranted closure of associate banks and merger with the SBI, retrograde policy to give banking license to corporate and business houses and unilateral imposition of service conditions.
