CM to attend I-Day function in Ludhiana @@Chandigarh: The Punjab Government will organise its state-level Independence Day function at Ludhiana where Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal will unfurl the National Flag. Bhadana lays stone for cemented road@@Faridabad, August 12 @@Congress MP from Faridabad Avtar Singh Bhadana today laid the foundation stone for a 10-km cemented road starting form Khedi bridge to Dadasia village. Man robbed of `30 lakh

Sonepat, August 12 @@Four car-borne armed gangsters looted Rs 30 lakh from Sonu of Krishan Vihar in Delhi between Jhinjholi and Halalpur villages this evening.@@Before escaping, the gangsters thrashed and injured Sonu and his car driver Sheesh Pal. Both were admitted to hospital. Sonu informed the police that he was carrying a cash to buy a plot. His car was stopped forcibly by parking a car in front of his car. — OC
