Education dept fails to take action against erring schools

Tall claims of the education department of taking stern action against schools that fail to register under the Right to Education (RTE) Act by March 31 have fallen flat. The department has failed impose penalty on erring schools.

Schools to get H2S water testing kits

With 51 water samples failing purity test in schools, the water and sanitation department has decided to provide all government and aided schools in the city with H2S kits.

SIT formed to probe Dalit land issue Mohit Khanna

Nearly a fortnight after the issue of multi-crore land scam, in which the land meant for the Dalits was allegedly usurped by influential colonisers, rocked the Vidhan Sabha session concluded recently, the city police has formed a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the case and take action against those who are involved in duping the affected party.
