Day 3: Civic body pulls down 225 illegal structures
Ludhiana, February 28
The municipal corporation today razed 225 illegal structures, including extensions of shops and houses raised on government land, in the Jawahar Nagar Camp area on the concluding day of a three-day anti-encroachment drive. The MC had demolished around 360 structures during the first two days of the drive. The drive was carried out on the directions of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

GLADA auction gets good response

Unlike the earlier auctions of commercial properties and big chunks of land, which failed to draw the desired response, the public auction of 20 residential flats in Sector 40 on Chandigarh Road today turned out to be a huge success. All the flats on offer were sold for a whopping premium of 89 per cent during the auction, which was conducted by GLADA.

Two arrested with drugs
