During the last hearing, Yadav's counsel had moved an application under Section 91 of the CrPC (summons to produce document) to ask for relevant records on the basis of which sanction to prosecute her was granted.

During the hearing today, the counsel requested for the copies of the documents provided by the department of law and justice.

Tribune News Service

Chandigarh, January 19
The players participating in the All-India Inter-University Tae kwon do championship for men and women, organised by the Directorate of Sports, Panjab University, faced harrowing time on the first day of their arrival today evening.

The teams scheduled to stay on the premises of Shivalik Public Public School, Mohali, were dropped at the Chandigarh-Mohali barrier after the bus driver, in which the teams were travelling, refused to enter Mohali due to non-availability of inter-district permit.

The teams from Karnataka, Goa, Surat and Maharashtra were travelling in the bus and later the players were conveyed about the non-availability of accommodation in the hostel. After waiting for about four hours, the teams were asked to wait further, so that the hosts can arrange another accommodation for them.

“The championship is scheduled to start from January 21 and we opted to reach here well in-time, so that we can relax before our competition. Since 5 pm, we are made to wait and later the bus dropped us 1.5 kms away from the staying venue. And further in more harassment, we were told that they will shift us to some another venue. If the hosts are not ready for organising the games at this level, why have they have asked for it?” said Sonay Khan and Anand, officials of the Karnataka team.

“We have not been given any type of accommodation. The local official, who was accompanying us, went away after dropping us outside the school gate. We haven't expected this type of service,” said Saupnil from Maharastra University.

Notably, the teams arriving here were not even provided with any local managers or local accompanying official. They were also not provided any contact numbers in case of help. "There is no arrangement of food and the official accompanying us suggested to opt for Dhaba at the near by market. We are here to play not to roam around. Everything is unplanned and we are harassed to the core on the first day of our arriva,l" said Theophile, coach of Goa team.

“We were expecting a good arrangement but we were not even provided with the basic facility ie water. The teams already putting up are facing such problems then how can they accommodate more of us,”said Amit, coach of Surat University.

On other hand, when contacted, Gurmeet Singh, director, sports, (Additional Charge), refused to comment even after repeated attempts. He said, "I am busy driving and attending the teams."

“We have provided the Directorate of Sports with all the necessary things. Rest, director sports is the best person to contact,” AS Ahluwalia, DSW , PU.

Last minute arrangements
When the officials failed to provide venues for the teams' stay, the teams were sent to Kisan Bhawan till further arrangements were made. The teams arriving late in the evening were made to stay outside the building of the Directorate of Sports, PU.
