Snake scare at excise office: Four snakes were found in the record room of the Excise and Taxation office. When a staff member entered the record room, he saw snakes crawling in the files. A snake charmer was called who caught hold of the reptiles after half-an-hour effort. It was for the second time that snakes were found in the office.

Dharna of PAU staff continues: The dharna organised by the PAU Employees Union continued today in front of Thapar Hall today. They were protesting against the non-payment of 70 per cent arrear of revised pay scales. The gathering was addressed by Gurmel Singh Tung, executive member of the PAU Pensioners Welfare Association.
