Protest against milk plant: Members of the Kissan Sangarsh Committee (KSC) today held a four-hour protest in front of milk plant at Verka near here demanding immediate solution of the problems being faced by dairy farmers. Holding banners and raising slogans against the government, the KSC members started the protest at about 12:30 pm. The protest was lifted only after the tehsildar of Verka, Milk Plant Verka’s general manager and its chairman Makhan Singh held a meeting with the leaders of the KSC. A meeting has been finalised between KSC representatives and Deputy Commissioner for January 16. 

PCMS assn polls: Dr Madan Mohan was elected president of the PCMS Association during a meeting. Dr Sandeep Kakkar, Dr Jaswinder Kaur and Dr MS Khalsa have been elected vice-presidents. Press secretary of the association Dr Naresh Chawla said Dr Sanjay Kapoor and Dr Vijay were elected general secretaries.
