Date extended: The Haryana Agriculture Department has extended the last date for submitting applications to get subsidy on agriculture implements to February 28, 2013. Earlier,the applicant could apply up to November 7.Award: Haryana’s Dynamic Integration of Property Registration, Land Records and Cadastral Maps Project has been awarded the CSI--Nihilent e-Governance Award for 2011-12 under the project category. The award was presented at the 47th annual convention of the Computer Society of India in Kolkata. Ghan Shyam Bansal, State Informatics Officer, NIC, Haryana, received the award. Revenue collection: The Excise and Taxation Department has collected revenue of over Rs11,368.80 crore up to October during the current financial year which is 12.5 per cent higher as compared to the corresponding period last year. More than Rs.10105.16 crore was collected during the same period during last year.

Man gets 10-year jail for rape: Additional District and Sessions Judge (Fast Track) PP Ranta has sentenced Kuldip of Khairiyan village in Jhandutta to 10 years jail for rape. The court has also fined him Rs 25,000. The court has also sentenced him to jail for another year under Section 323, IPC, and a fine of Rs 1,000. The court has also ordered that Rs 20,000 be paid to the victim out of the fine collected from the convict. 2 drivers injured: Two drivers were injured when their trucks collided near Suharghat on Wednesday. Woman murdered: Dinesh Kumar, a resident of Gharan under the Mandi Sadar police station, yesterday alleged that some unidentified person murdered his wife Prabhi Devi during his absence at his house on Monday night. In a complaint lodged with the police yesterday, he alleged that during the incident he was gone out for some work. The police has lodged a case of murder under Section 302, IPC, and started proceedings in the case. NURPUR
Motorcyclist killed: Purn Chand (40) of Chuharpur near Indora died in an accident when his motorcycle skidded near Indpur on Tuesday night. He was rushed to the Community Health Centre, Indora, by 108 Ambulance and declared brought dead by the doctor on duty. One booked: The Indora police on Wednesday booked Rajan Sharma of Surajpur village under Sections 341, 323 and 506,

15 kg charas seized: A
team of the state CID wing seized 15.450 kg of charas from a vehicle
at a barrier at Burah in Mandi district late Tuesday night. According
to CID officials the charas was recovered from an Alto car. The police
also found Rs 3.25 lakh proposed to be used for the charas deal from
the vehicle. Two other vehicles, an Indica car and another vehicle,
escorting the Alto car, were also checked. The driver of one car,
Nikka Ram managed to escape, six others have been arrested.

NIPEF.ASI arrested: The Special Investigation Unit of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau on Wednesday arrested Karam Chand, ASI in the Theog police station, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000. According to Ashok Sharma, IG (Vigilance), the ASI allegedly demanded money from the complainant for returning documents of his vehicle which had met with an accident on November 18.

Grenade recovered in Bandipora: A rusted hand grenade was recovered while repairing a wall of Jamia Masjid Malamgam in
Bandipora. The police said a bomb disposal squad was called in and the grenade was destroyed without causing any damages. A case has been registered in
the regard.
