Sangat darshan for NRIs today:
Divisional Commissioner-cum chairman of the NRI Sabha SR Ladhar will hold a sangat darshan programme for dealing with cases of land disputes of NRIs at the sabha office here tomorrow. Officials of the departments concerned will also be attending the programme scheduled at 11 am so as to expedite cases.

One killed in landslide
: Rania Ram was killed when a landslide hit his house in remote Bara Bhangal village, 50 km from here, on Wednesday. Ram (50) was sleeping when boulders following a landslide hit his house. He was buried alive. Ram’s family members had migrated to Bir some days ago. Because of bad weather, they could not reach Bara Bhangal. The deceased was cremated by villagers. The Baijnath SDM has sanctioned financial assistance to the family of the deceased.

‘Congress not responsible Oppn’:
: The ruling BJP has said the Congress has completely failed in its role as a responsible Opposition as its senior leadership was engaged in a bitter battle for chiefministership. In a statement here on Tuesday, state BJP spokesperson Ashok Kapatia said the BJP agreed with the assessment of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh that in the present political scenario the Congress could not get majority in Himachal.
