Sales tax inspectors to strike work for three days

With around 500 inspectors in the excise and taxation department, Punjab, deciding to go on mass casual leave and hold pen-down strike at all information collection centres (sales tax barriers) from December 12 to 14, the state exchequer is set to suffer losses to the tune of crores of rupees.
2-year-old crushed to death

City’s entry point to be beautified
