Strike by Suvidha Centre staff hits residents hard
Ludhiana, September 26
The indefinite strike which began on Monday by the 130-odd employees of the Suvidha Centre located in the city’s mini-secretariat caused considerable inconvenience

MC official’s salary withheld

Municipal corporation officiating commissioner Malwinder Singh Jaggi has ordered the salary of MC health officer Charanjit Uppal to be withheld on account of delay in providing details under the Right to Information (RTI) Act.

Officials directed to maintain bitumen stock

After a BJP councillor accused Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (MC) officials of turning a blind eye towards irregularities in the MC hot mix plant, officiating Mayor Parveen Bansal today visited the plant and directed officials to maintain a stock of at least a week for bitumen.
