Septuagenarian held with 1,400 gm of opium

The Dehlon police has nabbed a septuagenarian, who had been allegedly supplying drugs to youths in the town. It has recovered 1,400 gm opium from his possession. The accused has been identified as Mohinder Singh of Patti Sameeria at Kilaraipur village in Ludhiana district. The accused was nabbed near railway crossing yesterday. Earlier, the Sirhind police had nabbed the accused for smuggling poppy husk. He had brought the consignment from Rajasthan. — OC
