Rajasthan farmers oppose water diversion
Our Correspondent

Abohar, May 24
The Rajasthan Kisan Sangharsh Samiti today came down heavily on the Punjab Irrigation authorities for diverting 4000 cusecs of water from the Harike headworks to neighbouring West Punjab province of Pakistan.

Speaking to the media here after visiting parts of the Gang (Bikaner) canal in this region, Samiti spokesman Subhash Sehgal said Ferozepur feeder and Gang (Bikaner) canal had choked due to felling of scores of trees during heavy rain and hailstorm on Saturday and Sunday.
