Preparations are afoot for holding Kisan Mela tomorrow and on March 18 on the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) campus. Ajmer Singh Lakhowal, Chairman, Punjab Mandi Board, will inaugurate it tomorrow. This year’s theme is “Adopt agricultural innovations for better standard of living.”

Vehicle-lifter nabbed
Ludhiana, March 16
The city police has nabbed a vehicle lifter, who was using stolen cars as taxis.
The accused, identified as Surinder Singh, alias Sonu, was nabbed by the Kochar Market police following a tip-off from the Feroze Gandhi market last evening.
