Unidentified man’s body recovered:An unidentified body of a man was recovered from the bank of the Tawi at the Jagwan area in Khour today.
The police said the man, appearing to be in his early-forties, might had drowned in the river and the water currents brought the body to the bank.
It added that the body had been shifted to GMCH here for the post-mortem. The police has initiated inquest proceedings in this regard and is trying to establish his identity.

Three killed in road mishap: Three persons, including a woman, were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a sports utility vehicle in central Kashmir’s Budgam district today, officials said.
The accident took place near Magam, 25 km from here, they said.
Meanwhile, one person died and another was injured when a load carrier overturned last night at Damhal Hanjipora in Kulgam district, 80 km from here, the police said.
Wani is new Public Information Officer:The state government has nominated Additional Commissioner, Kashmir, Abdul Majeed Wani as the new Public Information Officer (PIO) under the Right to Information Act, an official spokesman said.
Wani, has been designated as the PIO under the RTI Act in the office of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, he said. He will be assisted by Assistant Public Information Officer Abdul Khaliq

Candle march in memory of rain-hit victims:
The Uttarakhand State Congress Committee
held a candle march in the memory of families who lost their lives and property in rain-induced disaster.
The committee members observed two-minute silence and urged the government to provide permanent habitation to those living in tents.
Those who participated in the candle march include Madan Lal Gupta, Tilak Raj Sonkar, Anuj Bhardwaj, Shamsher and others.
